End of Mercedes-Benz SLR roadster production
Companies McLaren and a Mercedes-Benz finish manufacture of luxury roadster SLR - last car will descend from the conveyor in 2009.
For two years of cooperation it has been let out, accordingly, 261 cars of SLR in 2006 and 275 cars - in 2007, that almost half less than volumes of assembly assumed initially in number of 400-500 cars in a year.
McLaren intends to develop superpenalties under own mark which while carries code designation P11. This car in a pre-series variant is planned to show in 2009. Mercedes will be engaged in designing of new model SLC.
